A taste of Portugal.
From Portugal, with love.
Petiscos is our casual restaurant: small plates for the whole table to share, every one of them from our family's recipes in Portugal. Order plenty, share it all, take your time.
From the family behind Adega, the only restaurant in San Jose ever to hold a Michelin star (2017, 2018, 2021 and 2022), and Pastelaria, our bakery.
The Portuguese answer to tapas: small plates meant for the middle of the table, ordered in rounds, shared by everyone, and never hurried. It is less a style of food than a way of spending an evening.
Three plates to know us by.
The full menu runs from bread baked in-house to the duck rice and a seafood rice built for two. Start here.
The famous one
"Francesinha"
Porto's legendary sandwich, done properly: filet mignon steak, linguiça, ham, cheese and a fried egg on house-made bread, under our beer-based Francesinha sauce.

From the Atlantic
Octopus
Oven roasted until the edges crisp, with fingerling potatoes and spinach. The dish people photograph first and finish fastest.
45
The house favorite
Duck Rice
Arroz de pato the way the Alentejo makes it: shredded duck folded through rice, baked until the top crisps, finished with chouriço. With the octopus, the dish the regulars come back for.
45Twelve names, twelve places.
Every cocktail on the list is named for a place and the women of it: Lisbon, the Alentejo, the Açores, and the countries Portuguese families call their second homes. Four to start:
AlentejanaThe AlentejoSix-year bourbon, brown sugar, fresh lemon, bacon.
LisboetaLisbonFour-year rye, sweet red vermouth, bitters, Ginja 9.

Don't take our word for it.
“These authentically prepared dishes highlight the flavors of Portugal, but also the convivial spirit.” , The MICHELIN Guide, on Petiscos
Adega. Petiscos. Pastelaria.
Three rooms, one family, and the same recipes that crossed the Atlantic with them.
Adega
The fine-dining house, opened in 2015 and Michelin-starred in 2017, 2018, 2021 and 2022, the only San Jose restaurant ever to earn one. Tasting menus, a deep Portuguese cellar, and the standard everything else is measured against.
